When you think of surf adventure the UK isn't the first thought that naturaly springs to mind. For many of us surf adventure begins and ends with warm water and boardshorts...not to mention the epic surf!, however for those willing to hang around for a while and get involved in a bit of exploration, well lets just say you might be surprised! The UK is surrounded by great waves boasting surf on all its shores from Thurso in Scotland down to Porthcurno in Cornwall. Our particular area of focus is Newquay, Cornwall. This wave rich area will attract more travelling surfers than anywhere else in the UK and some would argue Europe at anyone time especialy in the summer months of July and August.
The area itself comprises of mainly beach breaks with the odd secret reef thrown in for good measure will receive swell all year round with the winter undoubtably being the best time for waves, however like other places in Europe September can offer good ground swells whilst still enjoying good water temperatures. If you are prepared to stray further than the world famous Fistral Beach you will find numerous empty peaks along this rugged coastline.......
