The Mentawais chain is a super consistant area of the world sporting endless offshore days with perfect weather to greet the regular swells that pulse into these islands. The best and uncrowded spots are easy to find. There are four main large islands with many smaller islands scattered throughout. The best time to come aboard or 'Surf Season' is between the months of May and October when the islands recieve large swells upto and over 15 feet. When the swells are large there is the opportunity to surf the smaller breaks. With that in mind it is worth remembering that there are swells all year round and always good waves to be found for all skill levels, from pro to amature!, and if it does go flat dont forget the fishing, diving and general relaxing to pass the time away.
