Belushis is also the bar of choice for the local surfers, you will find the atmosphere electric especialy over the weekend when one of our live bands are playing! From the kitchen you will find a selection of fine food on offer through the day to keep you charged up after your lengthy surf lessons. Outside we also have a large sun terrace which directly overlooks Newquay Bay with views stretching as far a Trevose Head. Fancy something a little more bling? well why not jump in our hot-tub and sooth those newly formed muscles! all in all it is a truly amazing place to sip a beer and relax after a great days surfing.

At the Escape Surf School our aim is to give everyone an insight into the surfing lifestyle. You will experience a professional lesson run by one of our BSA qualified coaches. For most of our students the first lesson is a life changing experience and it is just the beginning, so we offer lessons at all levels, from complete beginners and intermediate, through to advanced and contest surfers through our elite surfing academy. At the Escape Surf School we are proud to specialise, not generalise.

We teach surfing and surfing only, not kiteboarding, body boarding and so on!! This means we can concentrate on teaching surfing to the best level possible and guarenteeing you will find the whole experience a life changing event! Our coaches are specialist Surf Coaches and qualified to the highest level. We are proud of our instructors as we are one of the only surf schools in Newquay to boast a professional surfer as Head Coach; Mike Young has been surfing for 25 years with 15 years professional experience on the World Tour. Mike is currently ranked 9th in the UK on the UK Pro Surf Tour and is Head coach for the British Junior Surf Team. Also our other Head coach Will Hinton is a very well travelled and experienced surfer and is also regarded as one of the best surf coaches around.
