Lanzarote | The Accommodation

Lanzarote or 'La isla Volcanica' The Volcanic island, is one of seven main islands that make up the chain of Canary Islands. With Its moon like terrain and spectacular volcanic surroundings you could be forgiven for thinking you were on the set of some hollywood movie, and infact the film The Planet of the Apes was filmed here.

The landscape is a stunning mix of volcanic rock giving way to pure golden sandy beaches, this combination of everchanging landscape makes for an interesting journey around the island. Our accommodation in Lanzarote is set in the beautiful little village of Caleta de Famara. The village has a few bars and restaurants to keep you fed and watered after a long days surfing, for those looking for a little more nightlife Puerto del Carmen is only a short taxi ride away.

The apartments themselves are idealy located and within a few minutes walk of the surf school and long sandy beach of Famara. Inside you will find the apartments spacious and beautifuly presented comprising of lounge/living area, large dining/kitchen area with sleeping arrangements by way of one double room and one twin room or for larger groups single bed arrangements can be made.

Lanzarote | The Surfing

Our surf school in Famara is the longest running school on the island and is regarded by many as one of the best schools in Europe. The standards are high with a head coach that has received a BSA Level 4 award! that is the highest grade you can achieve as a surf coach. The school is also ISA registered and approved, the ISA is the world governing body for surfing and to be accredited by them is a reflection of the standards we set at the school.

The surf around this area of Lanzarote is world class, with no shortage of great spots around the island, but its the long sandy beach of Play de Famara that is our chosen location to base our surf school, the waves at Famara are consistant and ideal for our lessons. Water temp is warm year round with surfing in boarshorts possible throughout the summer months whilst a shorty or summer 3/2 in winter is fine. Whatever your surfing we have it covered with a large selection of boards for your use we can coach you from first timer right up to your first paddle out in larger waves.
